12 Bamboo Men
This is a picture of my desk.
I didn't have too much time to paint miniatures lately but hope to finish painting this little scratch built bamboo forest now.
Have a great weekend!

Honor Among Thieves
I watched "Honor Among Thieves", the D&D movie, with my family. Then I asked my daughter what she thought about it.
"Although the plot of the movie was predictable, the movie was entertaining. There were various funny jokes and I found the characters to be quite well written. All of the characters had thought out back stories which the audience got to see through their storytelling. The stories also influenced and explained the choices they made. Overall I would recommend the movie."

6 Pictures from the Tactica 2022
This is me playing Saga at the Tactica in Hamburg last year. I look tired because the night before, in a Portuguese restaurant, I had talked for hours with Krüger and Jörg about Tolkien and Brecht. Don’t ask me why …
The first game we played was presented by the club Kurpfalz Feldherren. They used the ruleset Pikeman’s Lament and had a very beautiful table of a port.
A picture of Krüger playing Warmaster. High elves vs dwarves. It was the first time I saw a Warmaster game. To my surprise troop movement was very fast and there were strong domino effects. A lot more action on the table than I had expected.

Mould Lines
I'm working on six Surprise Egg terror birds at the moment.
After undercoating them I noticed that they had thick mould lines which I couldn't remove with a scalpel because the terror birds are partly made out of soft plastic.

Happy New Year!
Hobby-wise I met a lot of interesting, friendly people, played Dingstown, Saga and The Silver Bayonet at gaming conventions and Dragon Rampant and Das Schwarze Auge with my kids.
I finally finished all my old painting and sculpting projects, this was my New Year’s resolution for 2020, and I started a funny army, consisting of surprise egg toy animals and scratch built bamboo men. I will continue painting these in 2023.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my posts, look at all the pictures and for your kind and inspiring comments.
(By the way, one of the images is AI-generated.)
Have a wonderful 2023!
Karl
